Im going to live in a tree house. and not just some wood nailed to a tree, a fully self sustained tree house with power, built out of sight at the top of a tree that stays green year round so no one would know its there. not just one tree house. Im going to have them all over the place. so if i wanted to live in San Fransisco for a while i would. anywhere i want to go would have a happy little out of sight secret apartment/art studio with a fantastic view. i could live off small jobs and gigs not having to pay the system a monthly rent check. i could be part of the work force and go to college and all the while live a free easy lifestyle that allows plenty of time to concentrate on my own studies
"never be seen, in an evergreen tree"
A car battery, an inverter and a solar panel would provide all the energy i would need, things that would need power would consist of a few lights and an ipad or laptop. a small wood burning stove would provide warmth in the winter.
most ideas for building tree houses are based off of the box style that standard building codes run by. but those building techniques are based off building from the ground up, not in a tree. doing it that way is very inefficient and expensive and dose not harness a trees natural structural support the way it should.
i have come up with a building technique of creating the entire structure from rope and textiles. the rope is used to build a wire frame of the structure stretched out between branches thus not only being super cheap to create, its also holds onto the tree in natural way where weight is distributed along the branches much more evenly. once a decent webbed structure is in place, carpet, vinyl, anything that is flat and strong can be used to fill in empty space between lines to create floors ceiling and walls. ive found there are many simple ways to build a decent size tree house very quickly this way.
i also want to build some nets in trees that intertwine throughout them all the way to the top, just to give the world a really cool thing to discover
the idea behind the web tree house is a much better way of living with nature. mankind has disrupted the natural flow of life everywhere we go. almost every delta in the world has been flattend and coverd with farms. we consitter farmland nature but what would it look like if man never toched it. from above it would look like paislys and patterns of forest all working together as an ecosystem network. like a government of instinct between animals plants and the pattern of land that it has all evolved around for the past million years.
it certainly wasent shaped like a grid. a grid that the human race lives by. the grid that all those networks of rivers trees and swampland has been replaced with
long square rows of crops. the natural ecosystem dies leaving so many creatures with no niche. only few spices remain that can withstand the circumstances.
what once were the veins that branched out to feed the land water are cut dry by our boundary’s edges.
but what if we didn’t design everything around our own grid
what if we didn’t ignore the rules of natures society when we design the regulations that run our own society?
what if we lived within the ecosystems that already existed instead of plowing them down and building thousands of acres of fenced off boxes?
what if we all lived in self sustained tree houses high off the ground within the natural ecosystem. what if our cars were like electric bikes with only the necessary power and weight to get around its ecosystem but would fold up for public transit when travailing outside of it. what if we learn the ways of nature and actually accomplish the task of becoming a balanced part of the cycle of life rather than the parasite that destroys it
if i chose to pay rent for an apartment within the confines of the grid, i would be supporting what im paying for. a system i completely disagree with.
